About the role
- Execute, oversee, and advance the full lifecycle of advanced Data Science and AI solutions, ensuring technical excellence, scalability, and strategic impact.
- Define the organization's strategic data and artificial intelligence vision, identifying opportunities for innovation, operational efficiency, and revenue generation.
- Serve as the technical reference for the area, supporting critical decisions on architecture, algorithms, infrastructure, and data governance.
- Lead the data solutions portfolio, ensuring long-term sustainability, mitigation of technical risks, and alignment with corporate strategy.
- Influence executive leadership and business units directly, acting as a strategic technical advisor in defining priorities and investments.
- Structure and evolve the Data Science function by defining standards, technology stacks, technical roles, succession plans, and retention strategies for key talent.
- Develop technical leaders by promoting advanced mentoring, knowledge-sharing sessions, and a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.
- Ensure maturity in governance, security, observability, and compliance of models and data at enterprise scale.
Requirements
- Established track record in Data Science with demonstrated organizational and strategic impact.
- Advanced experience in data and AI systems architecture, including cloud environments and scalable solutions.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate strategic challenges into robust technical solutions.
- Proven senior technical leadership experience, including defining technology stacks and making decisions in complex environments.
- Excellent communication, influence, and negotiation skills with executive leadership.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with pricing, inventory, or assortment projects (elasticity models, demand forecasting, optimization algorithms, etc.).
