About the role
- Execute and evolve the full lifecycle of Data Science models, from data exploration through deployment and maintenance of production models.
- Design scalable data and Machine Learning solutions, including complex pipelines, data versioning, and automation via MLOps (CI/CD).
- Lead medium- to large-scale projects, coordinating technical deliveries and ensuring alignment between business requirements, data engineering, and software teams.
- Serve as a technical reference for junior data scientists and analysts, providing mentorship, thorough code reviews, and supporting technical decisions.
- Influence product roadmaps and data initiatives, helping prioritize projects with the greatest business impact.
- Ensure the quality, stability, and observability of production models, manage technical risks, and propose continuous improvements.
- Create and disseminate technical standards, templates, and documentation to increase the team's efficiency and maturity.
Requirements
- Solid experience in Data Science with a proven record of models implemented and maintained in production.
- Advanced proficiency in Python, SQL, and software engineering practices applied to data.
- Deep knowledge of statistics, Machine Learning, and architecture of data-driven systems.
- Hands-on experience with MLOps practices, versioning, monitoring, and automation.
- Technical leadership ability and strong communication skills with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with pricing, inventory, or assortment projects (elasticity models, demand forecasting, optimization algorithms, etc.).
