About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design and evolution of our data architecture, ensuring scalability, security and performance.
Define and disseminate best practices for engineering and governance, and recommend new technologies to optimize the data ecosystem.
Design, build and optimize complex data pipelines (ETL/ELT), including their orchestration and automation.
Structure and refine Data Warehouse and Data Lake environments, applying advanced dimensional modeling techniques.
Ensure data quality, integrity and availability through monitoring frameworks.
Provide technical leadership for data projects from conception to final delivery, engaging with stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful outcomes.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proven experience in data engineering solution architecture and technical leadership of complex projects.
Deep knowledge of dimensional modeling (Star Schema, Snowflake), data warehouse optimization, Data Lakes and ETL/ELT processes, with strong proficiency in SQL and Python.
Solid experience with cloud data platforms, especially Microsoft Azure and tools such as Data Factory, Databricks and Power BI.
Familiarity with agile methodologies and DevOps and DataOps practices.
Strong communication skills to articulate complex technical solutions to business and technology stakeholders.
Analytical, proactive and able to work independently to identify problems and propose innovative solutions.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related fields.
Postgraduate degree in Data or related areas will be considered a plus.
