About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the financial and strategic planning of the Automobile insurance portfolio through modeling and monitoring of the budget and forecasts.
Possess advanced technical expertise to integrate key industry metrics when preparing monthly and annual projections (Production/Written Premium, Underwriting vintages, Loss Ratio, Combined Ratio, etc.).
Cross-reference data with market trends and economic scenarios to provide the necessary strategic direction.
Ensure data governance, integrity, and intelligent use of data in decision-making.
Design indicator frameworks (KPIs) and complex management reports (MI).
Use Artificial Intelligence tools and predictive models to automate forecasts.
Translate the portfolio's statistical behavior into accurate predictive projections.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Actuarial Science, Engineering, Economics, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field. Postgraduate studies or an MBA in Finance, Data Science, or Business Management is a plus.
Solid experience in the insurance market. Experience in Auto lines is an advantage.
Deep knowledge of metrics and concepts such as GWP (Gross Written Premium), EP (Earned Premium), Loss Ratio, Combined Ratio, underwriting vintages, Frequency, Severity, and triangles (loss development triangles).
Practical experience leading projects and applying agile frameworks (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) for backlog organization, prioritization, and continuous delivery.
Experience building budgets, forecasts, financial simulators, and predictive indicator scenarios.
Proficiency in programming languages for data processing and automation (e.g., Python) and strong skills in database manipulation (SQL, SAS).
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
Familiarity with the practical application of AI/Machine Learning models for forecasting and analytics.
Advanced Excel skills for financial consolidation.
