About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Evaluate new business opportunities in the power sector;
Build financial models (NPV, IRR, scenario analysis, risk assessment);
Analyze regulatory impacts (ANEEL, CCEE, ONS, Free Energy Market - Mercado Livre);
Assess regulatory, operational, and market risks;
Support the design of integrated energy products and solutions (Distributed Generation [DG], Battery Energy Storage Systems [BESS], Gas, Services, Free Energy Market);
Interact with Commercial/Trading, Regulatory, M&A, and Corporate Finance teams;
Develop investment theses (e.g., batteries, flexibility, Value-Added Services for Large Customers);
Enable practical implementation of initiatives, reducing risks and maximizing returns;
Ensure proposed structures are regulatory compliant and tax-efficient;
Produce structured executive reports that consolidate the viability of new energy business opportunities, containing a clear decision recommendation (go / no-go / adjustments).

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Economics;
Postgraduate degree or MBA in Energy Markets or related fields preferred;
Experience in the energy market (Generation, Trading and/or Distribution);
Knowledge of power sector regulation;
Proficiency in financial modeling;
Strong analytical skills and business acumen;
Ability to work across technical and strategic areas;
Advanced Excel skills.
Experience with batteries / Distributed Generation (DG) / Free Energy Market (Mercado Livre).
