Key responsibilities & impact

Server Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor server performance, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure service availability.
Network Management: Configure, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity.
Information Security: Implement and manage security policies such as access control, encryption, and protection against cyber threats. Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
Technical Support: Provide technical support to resolve infrastructure-related issues, assisting other departments and clients.
Project Planning and Implementation: Participate in planning and executing infrastructure projects, such as migrations, hardware and software upgrades, or network expansions.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for IT infrastructure, including network topologies, system configurations, and recovery procedures.
IT Resource Management: Monitor the use of IT resources, such as storage and processing capacity, and recommend purchases or upgrades when necessary.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
Previous experience in systems administration, network administration, or IT infrastructure, preferably in a corporate environment.
Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization, data storage, network protocols, and information security technologies.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
