About the role
- Server Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor server performance, perform preventive and corrective maintenance, and ensure service availability.
- Network Management: Configure, monitor and maintain network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls and VPNs, ensuring secure and efficient connectivity.
- Information Security: Implement and manage security policies such as access control, encryption, and protection against cyber threats. Conduct security audits and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Technical Support: Provide second- or third-level technical support to resolve complex infrastructure-related issues, assisting other departments.
- Backup and Data Recovery: Manage backup routines, ensure data integrity, and implement disaster recovery plans.
- Project Planning and Implementation: Participate in planning and executing infrastructure projects such as migrations, hardware and software upgrades, or network expansions.
- Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for the IT infrastructure, including network topologies, system configurations, and recovery procedures.
- IT Resource Management: Monitor the usage of IT resources such as storage and processing capacity, and recommend purchases or upgrades when necessary.
- Process Automation: Develop scripts and automate repetitive tasks to improve efficiency and reduce human error.
- Vendor Collaboration: Work with technology vendors for the procurement of hardware, software and services, as well as coordinate technical support and maintenance contracts.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related areas.
- Previous experience in systems, network, or IT infrastructure administration, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), virtualization, storage, network protocols and information security technologies.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA).
