About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Your work will be essential for creating new point mechanics (such as incentives for payments via Pix or for profile updates) and for ensuring excellence in our microservices architecture, with a focus on performance, scalability, and cost optimization.
Actively contribute to product design and development, working with the Product Manager and Product Designer to break down epics into smaller tasks based on your technical understanding and business rules.
Identify modeling risks and issues with non-functional requirements, acting to resolve them and simplify solution design.
Write secure, high-quality code, seeking security-focused help when necessary.
Actively track and monitor code health metrics (e.g., code smells, bugs, vulnerabilities, code coverage percentage) and ensure active monitoring of the production environment, focusing on critical user journeys.
Take initiative in planning and refinement to transform abstract ideas into concrete tasks.
Help teammates grow technically through pairing, code reviews, and feedback.
Work with developers to ensure unblocking of complex technical tasks and correct execution of planned work.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Proficiency in backend programming and experience with Python and related frameworks
Solid experience with microservices architectures and RESTful/GraphQL APIs
Deep knowledge of relational databases (SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases (DynamoDB, MongoDB, DocumentDB)
Experience with message queues (Kafka, SQS)
Experience working in agile teams (Scrum, Kanban)
Cloud computing: experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform), especially compute services (EC2, ECS), database and messaging services
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes (containers and orchestration)
Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools and practices (GitHub, GitHub Actions, Sonar)
Knowledge of different types of testing (unit, integration, end-to-end)
Experience with application monitoring and logging tools (New Relic, Grafana)
