About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Participate in defining the team’s objectives and deliverables, and plan and organize the activities required to achieve those goals;
  • Lead the team in overcoming obstacles, resolving blockers, and proactively ensuring tasks are completed;
  • Make implementation decisions for products, deeply understanding the domain and interactions with other systems, designing solutions aligned with the architecture, and assisting other developers with structural improvements;
  • Implement high-quality solutions with a focus on simplicity, quality, performance, and programming best practices to ensure the best consumer experience;
  • Promote and disseminate development best practices such as code review and pair programming to maintain code quality and reduce vulnerabilities;
  • Guide the testing strategy, encouraging the team to adopt comprehensive approaches (unit, integration, functional, and performance testing);
  • Build and evolve monitoring for the products under your responsibility, actively participating in incident analysis and remediation;
  • Work on resolving failures both within your team's domain and with partner teams, contributing to the development of short-term mitigation and long-term remediation plans;
  • Use data and facts to identify improvements and map opportunities related to technical debt, processes, or partnerships;
  • Research and propose new technologies, keeping technical documentation up to date;
  • Work collaboratively, practicing a culture of feedback with peers and leaders and promoting continuous learning about industry patterns and practices;
  • Communicate effectively and concisely, translating technical and non-technical topics appropriately for the audience, both written and verbal;
  • Foster an inclusive and respectful culture where everyone feels safe to share opinions and contribute to technical and business discussions.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Experience in Digital Squads: Proven work in agile environments focused on business objectives and continuous delivery.
  • Back-end Mastery: Advanced experience with Node.js, building microservices, and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • Front-end Mastery: Solid experience with React.js, including building BFFs (Backend for Frontend) and micro-frontends.
  • Software Engineering: Strong knowledge of best practices such as SOLID, Clean Architecture, and Clean Code.
  • Architecture and Messaging: Experience with distributed systems, event-driven architecture (Kafka, SQS, or RabbitMQ), and cloud patterns (AWS or GCP).
  • Infrastructure and Cloud: Familiarity with container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless models (AWS Lambda).
  • Databases: Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB) and relational databases (PostgreSQL).
  • DevOps Culture: Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar) and version control with Git/GitHub.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in cross-functional, distributed, and diverse teams.
  • AI in the Workflow: Active use of Artificial Intelligence tools to optimize daily development.
  • Observability Culture: Practical experience with monitoring and performance tools such as New Relic.
  • Advanced Quality: Knowledge of end-to-end testing tools (such as Playwright) and stress/load testing.
  • Mobile Ecosystem: Familiarity or experience with React Native.
  • Security Mindset: Knowledge of secure development practices to reduce vulnerabilities in large-scale systems.
