About the role

  • Implement the best backend solutions for our applications, always prioritizing quality, performance, programming best practices, simplicity, and the best user experience for our products;
  • Develop, write unit and automated tests, deploy and monitor what has been developed (in addition to ensuring code quality and good programming practices);
  • Improve applications by identifying opportunities for enhancement, making recommendations, designing and implementing systems;
  • Improve system quality by identifying common issues and patterns, and by developing standard operating procedures;
  • Maintain, improve, and review existing code through Code Review and Pair Programming;
  • Maintain good working relationships, seeking innovative solutions for projects, working collaboratively and communicating effectively;
  • Research and adopt new technologies when relevant;
  • Keep documentation up to date;
  • Be passionate about problem solving and finding viable solutions.

Requirements

  • Solid experience developing with Node.js.
  • Experience building RESTful APIs.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
  • Knowledge of quality best practices such as TDD, BDD, and SOLID.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented or functional programming.
  • Experience working in agile teams (Scrum, Kanban, etc.).
  • Ability to work autonomously in a cross-functional, multi-language, collaborative environment.
  • Pragmatic approach to problem solving.
  • Experience with code versioning (GitHub).
