About the role

  • Design and develop scalable solutions in Python (back-end), focusing on service modernization and the transition from monolith to microservices and hexagonal architecture;
  • Use asynchronous architecture patterns, such as Kafka and AWS Lambda, to build robust, high-performance systems;
  • Work on decoupling legacy functionalities, ensuring the continuous technological evolution of Pricing and Data products;
  • Ensure service stability through active incident management and by creating observability dashboards using tools like New Relic and Grafana;
  • Promote a culture of quality within the team through automated testing and by conducting post-mortems for continuous improvement;
  • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure cost-efficiency by applying FinOps practices;
  • Work upstream on requirements, collaborating directly with product management to translate complex business rules into effective technical solutions;
  • Operate autonomously in a remote work model, maintaining clear communication and keeping technical documentation up to date (ADRs, RFCs);
  • Serve as a technical reference, supporting team members' development and disseminating software engineering best practices.

Requirements

  • Ability to work autonomously in a cross-functional, multi-language, collaborative environment;
  • Back-end development experience, preferably using Python;
  • Strong experience and a solid track record in implementing and defining strategies for automated testing (unit and end-to-end);
  • Experience developing software that uses relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and non-relational databases (e.g., DynamoDB, MongoDB, DocumentDB);
  • Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), GitFlow, GitHub, GitHub Actions and Sonar;
  • Knowledge of synchronous and asynchronous architecture patterns;
  • Experience with Incident Management and familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic and Grafana;
  • Knowledge of AWS infrastructure and core services (e.g., EC2, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, SQS, RDS, DocumentDB, DynamoDB, Amazon ElastiCache for Redis, AWS Glue, etc.);
  • Experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban;
  • Document processes, post-mortems, APIs and ADRs; influence the team in building and maintaining documentation.
