About the role
- Lead and develop people on the Data & AI team
- Ensure engagement and alignment with the company culture
- Manage the efficiency and delivery flow of the squads
- Orchestrate the balance between operational efficiency and technical robustness
- Act as the link between E‑commerce strategy and the tactical execution of the data squads
- Support career development of direct reports
- Act as a mentor and coach for leaders
- Ensure consistency in people-cycle processes
- Create mechanisms to standardize leadership best practices
- Intervene in impasses that your leaders could not resolve
- Ensure alignment across multiple squads and data products
Requirements
- Knowledge in Data Engineering, Data Science, and Machine Learning Engineering
- Solid experience in people management and leading technology teams
- Clear, fluent communication skills tailored to different audiences
- Knowledge of Generative AI/Agents
- Excellent influencing and decision-making skills
- Preferred: Knowledge of Recommendation models
- Preferred: Knowledge of Search algorithms
- Preferred: Hands-on development of ML models
