About the role
- Be the technical link between the Data Platform and business areas
- Ensure raw data is transformed into strategic assets
- Lead data modeling
- Design and maintain robust data layers
- Ensure reliability: implement automated data tests
- Quality monitoring and technical documentation
- Optimize performance: work on improving query and pipeline performance
- Actively collaborate with Product Managers and Functional Analysts
- Mentor more junior members of the team and promote a Self-Service culture for business stakeholders
- Investigate root causes of business pain points to propose architectures that solve the real problem
Requirements
- Strong technical expertise in modern data architecture
- Requirements analysis and autonomy
- Ability to work directly with the functional team to lead requirements gathering
- Translate business needs into technical scope
- Drive end-to-end execution of tasks independently
- Advanced SQL
- Proven experience writing complex, high-performance queries (window functions, CTEs) for data transformation in Google BigQuery
- Solid experience with dimensional modeling, creating tables optimized for analytical consumption and modern data architectures (Data Lakehouse)
- Experience building interactive dashboards (Tableau or Looker)
- Knowledge of Google Cloud Platform services
- Hands-on experience with data orchestration tools (Airflow)
- Experience with code versioning (Git), code reviews, pull requests and CI/CD pipelines
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience extracting data via third-party APIs
- Monitoring processing costs and latency
- Advanced knowledge in data: data science, statistical models and machine learning are considered advantages
