About the role

  • Develop Data Science solutions for the Store Footprint and VD area, typically involving predictive models, generative AI solutions, and data analysis to meet business needs;
  • Execute the stages of the DS solution lifecycle (business understanding, variable study and preparation, model development, performance validation), providing the necessary support to deploy developed models into production;
  • Design, together with business areas, the usage and monitoring of the models.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python or R for data analysis and SQL;
  • Knowledge of descriptive statistics, inference, and probability;
  • Experience with supervised and unsupervised machine learning models (feature engineering, hyperparameter tuning, cross-validation, interpretation, and evaluation of metrics);
  • Knowledge of generative AI solutions for building assistants;
  • Analytical and creative thinking to develop solutions that meet different types of needs;
  • Interest in deepening knowledge of the business area in which you will work—its processes, metrics, and main pain points;
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • - NICE-TO-HAVES:
  • Experience in geospatial modeling;
  • Knowledge of spatial econometrics;
  • Master's and/or PhD in the field;
  • Experience with Streamlit;
  • Knowledge of code versioning (git);
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP);
  • Knowledge of experimentation (design and evaluation of experiments, A/B testing, multivariate tests, etc.);
  • Experience deploying models.
