About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Responsible for the technical analysis and fiscal classification of goods, preparation of technical opinions, legislative research and advisory support to clients, ensuring the correct application of the NCM, regulatory compliance and mitigation of fiscal and customs risks.
Perform fiscal classification of goods according to the NCM (Mercosur Common Nomenclature), analyzing a variety of clients' products.
Analyze technical catalogs, drawings, datasheets and other documents to determine the correct fiscal classification.
Research customs and tax legislation and regulations related to tariff classification.
Prepare technical opinions and fiscal classification reports for clients.
Identify administrative treatments, applicable taxes and tax incentives linked to the classified NCM codes.
Consult and interpret binding rulings, divergence rulings and other official interpretations issued by the tax administration.
Provide technical support to clients on questions related to tariff classification, imports and exports.
Participate in technical meetings with clients to collect information about products and production processes.
Support projects to review product registration and to clean up fiscal databases.
Monitor changes to the Common External Tariff (TEC), NCM codes and other applicable regulations.

Requirements

What you’ll need

Knowledge of customs and tax legislation applied to foreign trade.
Intermediate/advanced Excel.
Technical English for analyzing catalogs and product specifications.
Ability to conduct research in legal and regulatory databases.
