About the role
- Architect and evolve core platform systems with a focus on long-term scalability, reliability, and developer productivity.
- Design and implement new systems in shadow mode, ensuring seamless migrations while critical workloads remain live.
- Lead development of foundational services including Query Layer Service, Realtime Support, and Export Service.
- Partner with product and engineering leadership to identify and replace legacy systems with modern architecture.
- Mentor and guide staff and senior engineers, scaling both systems and people.
Requirements
- 8+ years coding professionally
- Experience architecting distributed systems at scale
- Experience deploying microservices on AWS or GCP
- Experience owning applications end-to-end and handling infrastructure concerns
- Technical leadership and mentoring experience
- Strong architectural and hands-on coding skills
- Curiosity and continuous learning mindset
