About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop a strategic territory plan by identifying and meeting with prospective agents regarding ProAg’s insurance offerings
  • Drive additional business through various means including agency visits, social events, trade shows, and correspondence
  • Meet or exceed sales goals for both existing and new business within Nebraska, along with developing and maintaining a database of current and prospective agents
  • Serve as a primary relationship owner, trusted advisor, and point of contact for assigned agent accounts
  • Become a subject-matter expert on ProAg’s products, business, and applications
  • Monitor competitor and industry trends to identify trends and changes in the marketplace
  • Collaborate with internal resources as necessary to prepare and deliver training or educational events

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least two years of sales experience, crop insurance experience preferred
  • Must be an exceptional communicator with the ability to facilitate cross-functionally
  • Knowledge of industry changes, legal updates, and technical developments related to applicable area of the Company’s business
  • Required to travel outside normal work location, travel is up to 75%
  • Must have the ability to work independently, focusing on achieving organizational goals and tasks with drive and energy to succeed
  • The ability to build trust and relationships with key constituencies.
