About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Partner with business leaders to scope, design, and build analytical tools and metrics for strategic and operational questions
  • Define and operationalize key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Uncover insights through rigorous analysis and translate data into business value
  • Elicit and synthesize data-driven insights into narratives and recommendations for business reviews, strategic planning, and ad hoc deep dives
  • Translate business needs into analytical tools and metrics to identify growth levers, diagnose performance gaps, and evaluate initiative impact
  • Scope, design, build, and maintain dashboards, reporting tools, and data models
  • Enable self-service access to key metrics while ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and accessibility
  • Use AI tools for querying, modeling, and synthesizing findings, validating AI-assisted work and building scalable, reusable processes
  • Present analytical concepts and data stories to executives, business leaders, engineers, PMs, and peers

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3+ years of experience in BI or data analytics at a high-growth tech startup
  • Strong bonus: experience solving data problems in a healthcare-related field, such as RCM, provider operations, value-based care, or health tech SaaS
  • Expert-level SQL skills
  • Familiarity with Snowflake, DBT, Looker, Hex, and Retool
  • Experience building critical analyses and data visualizations
  • Ability to identify business challenges from metrics and analyses and recommend process improvements
  • Ability to understand the full scope of data, including edge cases
  • Experience using AI tools for querying, drafting, synthesis, and analysis validation
  • Ability to translate complex analytical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience presenting to executives, business leaders, engineers, PMs, and peers
  • Ability to craft compelling data stories through visualizations
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, projects, and timelines efficiently
  • Ability to work onsite at the NYC hub three days per week
  • Ability to travel 2–3 times per year
  • Must be currently located in the United States or able to work in the United States, as reflected in the application questions
