About the role

  • Provide care to residents in accordance with the LOKIA care guide, including: Ensure morning and evening personal hygiene care
  • Serve meals and provide necessary assistance with feeding
  • Assist residents with mobility within the residence
  • Maintain adequate and constant supervision of residents
  • Immediately inform the nurse of any change in behavior or any abnormal reaction observed in a resident
  • Actively participate in recreational and leisure activities organized for residents
  • Perform certain housekeeping tasks, including washing clothing and bedding
  • Contribute to maintaining cleanliness, hygiene, safety and infection prevention
  • Strictly follow the procedures and protocols established by the LOKIA group
  • Administer medication only if the person holds the Loi 90 diploma and has the required authorization to administer medication
  • Perform any other tasks requested by the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

  • DEP or AEP in Assistance to the Person in Institutional and Home Care
  • RAC (Recognition of Acquired Competencies) or RAC exemption letter AP-RPA (issued by a CFP - public vocational training centre)
  • PDSP (formerly PDSB)
  • CPR (minimum 16-hour training), up to date
  • 0 to 2 years in a similar role
