About the role
- Within the Operations Directorate and reporting to the Branch Director, the Project Director is responsible for the overall management of the projects and the project managers assigned to them
- Responsible for all teams dedicated to operations and site production
- Business development
- Participate in the preparation of commercial proposals in coordination with the design department and business development
- Organization
- Functional management and facilitation of the operational teams under their responsibility (project managers, site managers), while ensuring proper application of operational processes
- Participation in the recruitment process for project managers and site managers
- Hierarchical management of the operational teams under their responsibility
- Operations
- Ensure achievement of project revenue and margins, on time and according to client quality standards
- Participate in the financial management of projects and report operations to the branch and operations management
- Manage relationships with subcontractors, notably during the tendering phase
- Participate in creating and maintaining partnerships with contractors and engineering/design offices
- With the support of project managers, lead and coordinate all stakeholders and partners during the project production phase (architects, engineering firms, contractors…)
- Prepare and lead operational meetings and client steering committees (COPIL)
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or a Master’s degree with a construction specialization (BTP) with proven, significant experience in project or site management
- Experience in: overall management of the production cycle, from the study/tender phase to delivery
- Hierarchical and functional management of managers (project managers, site managers)
- Strong command of P&L, ensuring margins, revenue and agency financial reporting
- Tendering and coordination of subcontractors, engineering firms and architects
- Ability to make decisions and adapt to on-site contingencies and stakeholder changes
- Ability to unite diverse profiles and to lead high-level client steering committees (COPIL)
- Manage harmony among the various project stakeholders to guarantee quality and deadlines
