About the role
- The Transport Operations Manager is responsible for planning, organizing and monitoring transport services.
- Ensures service quality, operational profitability and compliance with current regulations.
- Plan and coordinate drivers’ routes and assignments according to customer needs and the technical constraints of each operation.
- Serve as the interface between Drivers, customers and internal departments (workshop/maintenance, invoicing, sales).
- Optimize human and material resources to ensure the profitability and responsiveness of operations.
- Monitor the proper execution of services and intervene in case of incidents.
- Ensure compliance with safety rules, transport regulations (driving time, loads, documentation, etc.) and environmental standards.
- Check route sheets, delivery notes and trip reports.
- Contribute to monitoring operational performance indicators and follow profitability studies.
- Conduct annual and professional performance reviews for Drivers.
- Participate in site surveys and protocol meetings at customers’ request.
Requirements
- Degree (Bac+2 to Bac+3 / equivalent) in Transport, Logistics or a related field.
- Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in transport operations management, ideally in long-haul bulk transport or industrial/food freight.
- Proficient with IT tools (TMS, Excel, geolocation/GPS software, etc.)
- Knowledge of road transport regulations.
- Ability to manage priorities, handle unexpected events and work effectively in a team.
- Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
