About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage the cash positions of various entities in development and participate in monthly capital calls to investors;
  • Coordinate monthly financing requests;
  • Prepare financial analysis reports and perform various monthly variance analyses and ad hoc analyses;
  • Present monthly cost tracking reports to senior management;
  • Prepare quarterly and annual reports for investors;
  • Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements;
  • Assist accounting technicians with journal entries.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • CPA designation (Chartered Professional Accountant) required;
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance;
  • 3 to 5 years' experience in a similar role or experience in a public accounting firm;
  • Experience in Construction Accounting and/or Real Estate Development, or complementary experience is an asset;
  • Experience with the full accounting cycle (budgeting, financial statements, year-end file, monthly variance analysis);
  • Strong Excel skills;
  • Knowledge of Maestro software (asset);
  • Proactive and energetic approach to task execution;
  • Demonstrates rigor and attention to detail in task execution;
  • Good organizational and planning skills;
  • Strong sense of responsibility and initiative;
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and to engage and align colleagues;
  • Familiarity with bank transfer platforms is an asset.
