About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Further develop the data foundation for marketing automation
  • You build scalable data models and a central 360° customer view from CRM, usage, and contract data, and continuously develop them.
  • You ensure that personalized and automated customer communications are based on the correct customer and behavioral data.
  • You translate requirements from Marketing and Lifecycle into data-driven automation logic, such as triggers, segments, and customer journeys.
  • Develop data platforms and integrations
  • You build, operate, and optimize data integrations and interfaces to the marketing automation platform.
  • You consolidate CRM, behavioral, and product usage data and keep it consistent across all systems.
  • You monitor data flows, ensure their quality, and resolve errors before they affect campaigns.
  • Enable analytics and data-driven decision making
  • You create the analytical foundations for segmentation, personalization, churn predictions, and customer lifecycle models.
  • You develop the KPI, reporting, and ROI frameworks with which we measure and improve marketing performance.
  • Marketing defines the metrics themselves; you ensure they are reliable.
  • Drive tracking and success measurement
  • You design tracking and tagging concepts for digital channels and continuously refine them.
  • You ensure tracking quality as the basis for automation, analytics, and reporting.
  • Ensure data quality and compliance
  • You ensure high data quality and compliance with data protection, governance, and other regulatory requirements.
  • You define and implement standards for data cleansing, retention, deletion, and consent management.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You have several years of experience in data engineering, ideally complemented by knowledge in data science, advanced analytics, or marketing analytics.
  • You have worked in the context of marketing automation and data-driven customer lifecycle management.
  • You have solid knowledge of data modeling, ETL and ELT processes, and data quality management.
  • You have experience with CRM systems, marketing automation platforms, and complex system integrations.
  • You think analytically and translate business requirements into scalable data solutions.
  • You are familiar with GDPR, consent management, and data governance.
  • Experience with HubSpot is a strong advantage, particularly with CRM data models, Custom Objects, workflows, segmentation, and data synchronization.
  • You enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams with Marketing, CRM, Product Management, and Engineering.
  • Excellent German and good English skills.
