About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • As VP Commercial (m/f/d), you are overall responsible for METANET's commercial success.
  • By maximizing revenue growth from new and existing customers, minimizing churn rate, and increasing customer satisfaction, you make a decisive contribution to the company's overall economic success.
  • Overall commercial responsibility for METANET (revenue, gross margin, and marketing).
  • Lead the integration of existing partners into a unified brand by building appropriate processes and tools and fostering a shared mindset within the team.
  • Define the commercial direction and consistently implement predefined measures.
  • Lead end-to-end operations with a focus on marketing, sales, product localization/rollout, and customer service.
  • Work closely across the commercial organization and jointly develop strategy with the COO, ensuring its successful implementation.
  • Build close collaboration with the SaaS business unit to adapt various SaaS products to METANET and develop a differentiated product portfolio beyond hosting (e.g., marketing services) with clear unique selling points.
  • Translate strategy into concrete business development measures, including target setting, performance tracking, and annual operational planning.
  • Manage and coordinate all commercial activities, including direct and indirect sales, presales, and account management.
  • Take responsibility for all marketing activities and actively contribute to the development of best practices within the organization.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and an excellent customer experience.
  • Promote sustainable and profitable growth by expanding relationships with key customers and partners.
  • Be responsible for managing sales-related costs with the goal of optimizing revenue and ensuring compliance with all company policies and standards.
  • Analyze financial and operational metrics to monitor performance and continuously increase efficiency.
  • Define, implement, and monitor relevant KPIs (operational and financial) and ensure result accountability within the team.
  • Establish efficient sales processes and standards to ensure reliable forecasts and promote a performance-oriented sales culture.
  • Assume a strategic leadership role while maintaining a strong hands-on mentality.
  • Ensure high team performance and strong employee engagement.

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • You have at least 8 years of experience in commercial leadership roles, ideally with general management and P&L responsibility.
  • You are an experienced commercial leader with deep expertise in sales, marketing, and services.
  • You bring significant industry experience in hosting, managed services, e-commerce technology, SaaS, or a related environment.
  • You have prior experience with transformation processes.
  • Proven experience in developing and redesigning commercial organizations, including building structures and processes; experience in post-merger integration is a plus.
  • You have experience in the SMB and mid-market segments.
  • Your track record shows success in product marketing (particularly in the SME environment).
  • Negotiation-level English skills in spoken and written form complete your profile.
