About the role

  • Support our functional cost model to provide insight into resource utilization and key financial ratios
  • Analyze cost data to identify areas for optimization and efficiency
  • Support the testing and implementation of new accounts payable platform
  • Prepare key economic indicators and industry trends that support financial forecasting, scenario modeling and performance benchmarking
  • Collaborate with the team to contribute to strategic decision-making based on industry analysis
  • Provide analysis and participate in the preparation of Rating Agency Reviews, Quarterly Close Process and Business Reviews
  • Assist in the development of insightful financial reports to enhance the departments’ business decision support function
  • Gain practical knowledge of various accounting disciplines (GAAP, NAIC Statutory, Bermuda Monetary Authority) and regulatory requirements
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices
  • Provide support for regulatory audit requests
  • Support the development of business requirements, workflows and controls for accounts payable and ledger conversion project
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and optimize accounting systems and tools.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or a related field
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of finance and accounting principles
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Product Suite and other relevant accounting software
  • Organized and ambitious, strong attention to detail
  • Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic team environment
  • Must be able to commit to 2 days per week in the office with flexibility to accommodate academic demands.
