Accounts Payable Specialist

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all corporate invoices and payment requests
- Verify sales taxes on invoices and make proper correction to comply with state requirements
- Handle all vendor payable inquiries, analyze requests and transactions
- Conduct credit card purchase audits and ensure compliance with Groundworks credit card policy
- Provide direct or online user support and accounts payable training to end users
- Analyze exceptions to detect patterns and implement a resolution
- Collaborate with assigned branches to resolve invoice and purchase order discrepancies
- Maintain a strong working relationship with internal and external partners
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in corporate accounts payable role
- Associate’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience
- Extensive knowledge of corporate payables business processes and associated Microsoft Dynamics 365 functionalities
- Strong analytical skills
- Experience in shared services environment is considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, specific proficiency in Excel
