About the role

  • Support Agile SAP delivery on a U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) program.
  • Facilitate team-level Agile ceremonies, coordinate dependencies, track performance and risks.
  • Partner closely with the Product Owner and delivery leadership to ensure predictable, high-quality sprint execution.
  • Champion SAFe best practices while proactively identifying issues, improving team efficiency, and maintaining transparency on schedule and delivery impacts.
  • Organize and facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives for one or more Agile software development teams.
  • Support weekly leadership syncs and quarterly planning meetings and retrospectives.
  • Coordinate dependencies between different teams, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and manage project risks, developing mitigation plans as necessary.
  • Communicate with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
  • Assist the Product Owner (PO) in maintaining the team backlog to organize and prioritize work.
  • Monitor team performance and track key metrics.
  • Be a champion of SAFe agile methodology and coach team members on Agile best practices.
  • Support the project manager and/or program manager in creating, reviewing, and finalizing contract deliverables.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiencies.
  • Monitor potential schedule and/or budget impacts and provide regular updates to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering or related field
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret level security clearance. Preference will be given to candidates who already possess an active DOD clearance.
  • 2+ years Agile software development experience
  • 5+ years of experience with Scrum specific to data and software engineering lifecycles
  • 3+ years of experience with U.S. Army business process (i.e. AESIP, LMP, GCSS, GFEBs, Navy ERP, etc.) preferred
