About the role

  • - Help support the full lifecycle deployment and implementation of the Oracle EHR system throughout Veterans Affairs hospitals.
  • - Responsible for performing/organizing discovery efforts at various hospitals & clinics related to End User Devices (EUDs), interfaced systems, & Data Drops & Power Outlets (DDPO).
  • - Perform post-discovery analysis to inform technical scope and requirements.
  • - Build an understanding of the client's list of standard capabilities, devices, and interfaces to perform meaningful discovery and gap analysis.
  • - Support device procurement tracking & logistics and own relationships with local site IT leaders and other technology / network / engineering groups.
  • - Overall support the technical readiness of a transition to a new EHR, which may involve external vendor management/coordination, cutover planning & support, and project management of engineering activities.
  • - Significant client interaction is expected, with semi-frequent travel expected to hospitals and clinics in various geographies.

Requirements

  • - Bachelor's degree
  • - 8+ years of relevant experience
  • - Ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance
  • - Previous hospital/clinic assessment experience preferred
  • - Familiarity with system interfaces & medical device interfaces preferred
  • - Previous Oracle EHR exposure HIGHLY PREFERRED
