About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Collect and process donor samples for processing and testing
Record the weight of products and samples
Label samples and freeze units for final packing within the required timeframe
Pack units for final shipment
Pack samples and prepare shipping boxes for the testing laboratory
Monitor stored products
Report equipment working conditions
Maintain accurate donor files
Handle shipping and inventory control responsibilities
Maintain active communication and quality

Requirements

What you’ll need

A High School diploma or GED
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Superior customer service standards
Organizational, computer, and troubleshooting skills
Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and ideas
Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and infectious organisms
Ability to work with electrical office and laboratory equipment
Ability to work in extreme cold below 32 degrees F
Personal protective equipment required, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves and cold-gear
Ability to stand for 4 to 6 hours per day
Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
Frequent hand, finger, wrist and foot movements; ability to make precise coordinated movements
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Hearing acuity essential
Color perception/discrimination and correctable near and far vision
Ability to squat, crouch, sit on heels, and walk up to 1–2 hours per day
Ability to reach below shoulder height
