- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences
- Ability to perform according to oral or written instructions
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to sit or stand for the entire shift
- Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Frequent hand movement and precise coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
- Ability to squat, crouch, or sit on one's heels when required
- Ability to lift 15 lbs. routinely and up to 50 lbs. maximum
- Ability to reach below shoulder height
- Essential hearing acuity
- Correctable near and far vision in one eye to 20/30 and the other eye to 20/100
- Ability to work with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
