About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in determining the suitability of donors
Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality
Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions
Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
Work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and extreme cold in the plasma freezer
Use required personal protective equipment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Superior customer service standards
High School diploma or GED
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Interest in making a difference in the world
Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
Ability to comprehend and follow instructions
Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
Ability to perform within oral or written instructions
Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
Ability to stand for 6 to 8 hours per day
Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1-2 hours per day
Frequent hand movement of both hands and precise coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
Frequent foot movement; ability to walk up to 6-8 hours per day
Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
Hearing acuity essential
Correctable near and far vision requirements
Ability to work with personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves and cold-gear
