About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in determining donor suitability
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain donor confidentiality
- Respond to and assist with donor reactions
- Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
- Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
- Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
- Work in a plasma center environment while following occupational safety and protective-equipment requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Superior customer service standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Patient and reliable
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand information presented through spoken words and sentences
- Ability to perform precise, coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
- Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
- Hearing acuity essential
- Correctable near and far vision requirements
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to work standing for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Ability to work with personal protective equipment
- Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and extreme cold
