About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Perform all tasks within the plasma center as needed, including production employee functions
  • Supervise donor flow, donor selection, plasma collection, and manufacturing records
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved SOPs, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and company procedures
  • Attend required training sessions and staff meetings
  • Ensure accurate and thorough documentation
  • Help maintain a neat, clean facility and properly functioning equipment
  • Submit timely and accurate reports to the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager
  • Assist with control of center donor funds
  • Train new employees and retrain current employees
  • Communicate with other service areas to ensure accurate documentation and quality
  • Build rapport with donors and support long-term donation and customer satisfaction
  • Report unsafe situations or conditions
  • May repair plasma center equipment after training
  • Assist the Center Manager and/or Assistant Manager with tasks supporting company objectives

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Certified as a Phlebotomist, Donor Processor, Plasma Processor, and Designated Trainer
  • Typically requires 4 years of related experience performing phlebotomy, donor processing, and plasma processing duties
  • Demonstrated proficiency in handling difficult situations
  • Thorough familiarity and compliance with state and federal regulations, FDA-approved Standard Operating Procedure Manual, OSHA, CLIA, cGMP, and internal company procedures
  • Ability to communicate information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to listen to and understand spoken information and instructions
  • Ability to work independently and follow oral or written instructions
  • Ability to perform a wide range of tasks under variable demands and changing conditions
  • Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including standing, bending, twisting, frequent hand and foot movement, and lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to use required personal protective equipment
  • Essential hearing acuity and correctable near and far vision
