About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in determining donor suitability
Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness and donor confidentiality
Respond to and assist with donor reactions
Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
Work in a plasma center while following safety and operational instructions

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED
Superior customer service standards
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Interest in making a difference in the world
Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable
Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
Ability to work standing for 6 to 8 hours per day
Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
Frequent hand and finger movements, including precise coordinated grasping and manipulation
Ability to perform frequent foot movement and occasional squatting, crouching, or sitting on heels
Ability to walk up to 6–8 hours per day
Ability to lift 15 lbs. regularly, with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
Ability to reach below shoulder height
Essential hearing acuity
Color perception/discrimination and correctable near and far vision
Ability to work around biological fluids and potential infectious organisms
Ability to work around electrical office and laboratory equipment
Ability to work in extreme cold below 32°F in a plasma freezer
