About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in determining the suitability of donors
Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness and donor confidentiality
Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions
Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
Work in a plasma center while following occupational safety and protective-equipment requirements

Requirements

What you’ll need

High School diploma or GED
Superior customer service standards
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Obtains required state licensures or certifications where applicable
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
Ability to work standing for 6 to 8 hours per day
Ability to perform frequent hand, finger, wrist, and foot movements
Ability to make precise coordinated movements to grasp and manipulate objects
Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
Hearing acuity essential
Correctable near and far vision requirements
Ability to work around biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and extreme cold
Ability to use required personal protective equipment
