About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts for clinical research, procurement, supply agreements, leases, commercial agreements, and vendor agreements
- Manage claims and litigation involving personal injury, employment matters, and other business disputes
- Provide legal support across industrial, commercial, and manufacturing areas
- Work as part of a team of attorneys and contract professionals supporting Grifols’ North American business units, particularly R&D
- Integrate legal advice with business goals and support cross-functional teams
Requirements
What you’ll need- J.D. from a well-respected academic institution required
- Admission to a state bar is required
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in the biotech/pharmaceuticals industry and/or equivalent law firm experience
- Strong contract drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent ability to issue spot and integrate legal advice with business goals
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and small-team environments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including concise communication
- Knowledge of healthcare compliance laws and regulations, including anti-kickback statutes, government fraud and abuse, off-label promotion, and anticorruption laws is a plus but not required
- Ability to perform the listed occupational demands, including frequent sitting and lifting up to 25 lbs
