About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Conduct pre-donation medical screening
- Interact with donors and respond to customer needs
- Assess donor suitability and engage in set-up
- Provide appropriate feedback to ineligible donor candidates
- Ensure all donor screening information is complete
- Ensure donor confidentiality
- Work in a plasma center while following oral and written instructions
- Handle biological fluids and laboratory and office equipment using required personal protective equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Superior customer service standards
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Patient, able to handle multiple tasks, and adaptable to a dynamic work environment
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
- Ability to perform precise, coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
- Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
- Hearing acuity essential
- Color perception/discrimination
- Near and far vision correctable in one eye to 20/30 and the other eye to 20/100
- Ability to work sitting or standing for an entire shift, bend, and twist the neck and waist
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment
- Ability to work in exposure-prone environments, including biological fluids and temperatures below 32°F
