About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in determining the suitability of donors
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure overall customer happiness while ensuring donor confidentiality
- Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions
- Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
- Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
- Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
- Work in a plasma center while following occupational safety and protective-equipment requirements
Requirements
What you’ll need- High School diploma or GED
- Superior customer service standards
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Patient and reliable, with commitment to keeping donors comfortable and happy
- Ability to work standing for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Frequent hand movement and ability to make fast, simple finger, hand, and wrist movements
- Ability to make precise coordinated finger movements to grasp and manipulate objects
- Ability to walk up to 6–8 hours per day
- Ability to lift 15 lb. routinely, with a maximum lift of 50 lb.
- Hearing acuity essential
- Correctable vision and color perception/discrimination
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
