About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Assist in determining the suitability of donors
Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality
Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions
Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
Work in a plasma center while using required personal protective equipment

Requirements

What you’ll need

Superior customer service standards
High School diploma or GED
Ability to work a flexible schedule
Interest in making a difference in the world
Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable
Patient and reliable
Ability to keep donors comfortable and happy
Ability to work standing for 6 to 8 hours per day
Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
Frequent hand and foot movement; ability to make fast, precise, coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
Hearing acuity essential
Correctable near and far vision requirements, including 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other
Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
Ability to work with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear
