About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assist in determining the suitability of donors
- Establish rapport with donors to ensure customer happiness while maintaining donor confidentiality
- Respond to and assist with handling donor reactions
- Monitor donors and equipment to ensure donor health and product quality
- Set up, disconnect, and operate automated plasmapheresis machines
- Disconnect and dispose of contaminated disposable equipment
- Work in a plasma center while using required personal protective equipment
Requirements
What you’ll need- Superior customer service standards
- High School diploma or GED
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
- Interest in making a difference in the world
- Obtain required state licensures or certifications where applicable
- Patient and reliable
- Ability to keep donors comfortable and happy
- Ability to work standing for 6 to 8 hours per day
- Ability to bend and twist neck and waist for 1–2 hours per day
- Frequent hand and foot movement; ability to make fast, precise, coordinated finger, hand, and wrist movements
- Ability to lift 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
- Hearing acuity essential
- Correctable near and far vision requirements, including 20/30 in one eye and 20/100 in the other
- Ability to comprehend and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to listen to and understand spoken information
- Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
- Ability to work with exposure to biological fluids, infectious organisms, electrical equipment, and temperatures below 32°F
- Ability to use required personal protective equipment, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear
