About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform physical examinations and establish medical history to determine donor suitability
Build rapport with donors to ensure overall customer satisfaction

Requirements

What you’ll need

Currently certified/licensed in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse
Current CPR certification required
Ability to stand and sit for 2 to 4 hours per day each
Ability to bend and twist the neck for 1 to 2 hours per day
Frequent hand and finger movements and precise coordination to grasp and manipulate objects
Ability to squat, crouch, or sit on heels occasionally
Light lifting of 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
Hearing acuity essential
Correctable near and far vision requirements
Ability to communicate and understand spoken information
Ability to work independently under oral or written instructions
Ability to perform a wide range of tasks under variable demands and changing conditions
Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potentially infectious organisms
Ability to work around electrical office and laboratory equipment
Ability to work in extreme cold below 32°F in plasma freezers
Personal protective equipment required, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear
Spanish bilingual preferred
