  • Perform physical examinations and establish medical history to determine donor suitability

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Currently certified/licensed in the state of employment as a Registered Nurse, Licensed Practical Nurse, or Licensed Vocational Nurse
  • Current CPR certification required
  • Ability to stand and sit for 2 to 4 hours per day each
  • Ability to bend and twist the neck for 1 to 2 hours per day
  • Frequent hand and finger movements and precise coordination to grasp and manipulate objects
  • Ability to squat, crouch, or sit on heels occasionally
  • Light lifting of 15 lbs., with a maximum lift of 50 lbs.
  • Hearing acuity essential
  • Correctable near and far vision requirements
  • Ability to communicate and understand spoken information
  • Ability to work independently under oral or written instructions
  • Ability to perform a wide range of tasks under variable demands and changing conditions
  • Ability to relate sensitive information to diverse groups
  • Ability to work in a plasma center with exposure to biological fluids and potentially infectious organisms
  • Ability to work around electrical office and laboratory equipment
  • Ability to work in extreme cold below 32°F in plasma freezers
  • Personal protective equipment required, including protective eyewear, garments, gloves, and cold gear
  • Spanish bilingual preferred
