About the role
- Manage compliance activities associated with all applicable local, state and federal regulations related to environmental rules.
- Oversee the development of environmental procedures, approval and implementation.
- Establish and lead regulatory tracking system and compliance systems.
- Develop, implement and monitor site recycling programs.
- Develop, implement and monitor site waste reduction efforts.
- Work with energy reduction teams to promote an efficient use of resources.
- Conduct incident investigations including root cause analysis and recommendations.
- Visit sites to gain process knowledge, conduct assessments, introduce new programs and provide training.
- Oversee developing and implementing the ISO 14001 requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s of Science degree in Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Occupational Health or closely related discipline is required.
- Minimum 7 years management experience in an industrial facility setting focused on implementing and sustaining ISO 14001 certification as well as other Environmental programs.
- Proven ability to develop and document processes, and to author guidance and standard operating procedures.
- Ability to review engineering drawings, process schematics, and design plans to identify environmental risks.
