About the role

  • Safeguard the company’s assets and liquidity by ensuring the correct execution of accounting activities in strict compliance with legal requirements and group policies
  • Manage the complete cash cycle to ensure timely availability of funds, continuously strengthen the internal control environment, and ensure strict compliance with all legal, tax and audit obligations and deadlines across all entities in the region
  • Lead and coordinate regional accounting processes, tax filings and statutory financial statements, oversee financial reporting and manage external audits
  • Work closely with Corporate Finance and the Regional Leadership Team, acting as a strategic partner to Human Resources and Information Technology to support decision-making, governance and the financial sustainability of the business

Requirements

  • University degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, or Industrial Engineering with emphasis in Finance; Master’s degree desirable
  • Advanced English; Portuguese desirable
  • 5+ years of experience as a controller in medium to large companies, with full responsibility for accounting, finance and control processes
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting under US GAAP, IFRS and IAS, with the ability to simultaneously meet corporate reporting requirements and local statutory regulations across multiple jurisdictions
  • Experience in internal controls, including design, implementation and continuous improvement, and familiarity with manufacturing and commercial business environments
  • Experience with standard costing, weighted-average costing, tax matters and transfer pricing, and management of intercompany transactions (materials, services, royalties, management fees), ensuring proper accounting and regulatory compliance
  • Good understanding of import/export processes and their financial, accounting and tax impacts
  • Prior experience managing and leading teams
  • Proficiency with financial tools and the Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint, applied to financial analysis, presentations and decision-making
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics D365, as well as financial analysis tools
