About the role

  • Manage all activities for continuous improvement and performance enhancement globally
  • Employ Lean methodologies and tools to continue the Lean Transformation across 26 plants worldwide
  • Drive and lead performance improvements throughout the organization
  • Train and coach on Lean methodologies to eliminate waste and drive performance
  • Provide tools and direction, assess current state, and identify focus of improvements
  • Lead 2 direct reports and 6 indirect reports (regional CI leads) to meet project/department milestones and budgets
  • Support harmonization of standards across global plants
  • Travel globally (~40%) and work hybrid from Alsip, IL (1-2 days/week)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or related field
  • At least 10 years’ experience in the Continuous Improvement (lean manufacturing) function
  • At least 7 years of project management experience
  • Background in manufacturing and/or engineering environments
  • At least 7 years people management
  • Ability and willingness to travel globally 40%
  • Willingness to work onsite in Alsip 1-2 days per week when not traveling
  • Proven leadership: set a vision, manage change, develop personnel, strategic CI planning
  • Effective communicator and influencer across organizational levels
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Financial and business acumen
  • Interest in learning various cultures and harmonizing global standards
  • TPM/Kaizen Instructor certification or Black Belt certification a plus
  • Master Black Belt in Six Sigma or equivalent qualification a plus
  • Qualified Trainer advantageous
  • Food manufacturing CI experience is a plus
  • Experience with GMPs, HACCP, BRC and SQF
  • Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Power BI
