About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Drive BESS, and transformer upgrades from initial site feasibility and supplier assessment through to grid connection, commissioning, and final handover in partnership with the Project Manager.
Produce robust AC/DC designs, cable schedules, and tender documents.
Act as the definitive technical voice from the feasibility stage with the customer to on-site during commissioning.
Develop complete project tender packages, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), while actively managing project specifications, budgets, and timelines.

Requirements

What you’ll need

5 to 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer within the power generation, renewables or utilities industry.
An Electrical Craft Certificate is advantageous but not essential.
Deep, practical knowledge of BESS integrations, medium-voltage installations, and earthing.
Highly capable of reading, understanding, and producing complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD.
A valid full driving license is required.
Appropriate tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering.
Proficient user of MS office.
Proficient user of power simulation software (PSCAD etc.).
