About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Coordinate, plan, and supervise all facets of the restaurant including food production, preparation, and presentation
  • Ensure a safe and sanitary work environment that conforms to food service standards and regulations
  • Deliver quality products in a competitive and profitable environment
  • Supervise human resources in the production and preparation areas of the restaurant kitchen
  • Monitor food presentation and labor costs
  • Assist in the creation, planning, and costing of menus and daily specials

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High School Diploma/Secondary Qualifications or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of post-high school education or equivalent positional work experience
  • 3-4 years of employment in a related position
  • Advanced knowledge of the principles and practices within the food profession
  • Ability to manage people and complex problems
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products
  • Experience supervising kitchen staff (up to 20 employees)
