About the role
- Patrol hotel premises, including corridors, lobbies, parking areas, and restricted areas to detect and prevent security risks.
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems; respond promptly to any suspicious activities or breaches.
- Investigate disturbances, emergencies, or accidents and document findings in detailed incident reports.
- Escort guests and employees as needed for safety, especially during late hours or in emergency situations.
- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary.
- Enforce hotel policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety and security regulations.
- Respond to guest complaints or requests related to safety with professionalism and discretion.
- Assist in crowd control and access management during events, conferences, or periods of high occupancy.
- Conduct safety checks on fire exits, doors, and emergency equipment.
- Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, violence, or vandalism.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military preferred (especially in hospitality or customer-service environments).
- Valid security guard license or certification (as required by local/state regulations).
- CPR and First Aid certification (preferred or required based on local standards).
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills.
- Professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs and respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Ability to operate basic security equipment, such as radios and surveillance systems.
