About the role
- Lead relationships with banks and other credit institutions to secure appropriate facilities supporting the Group’s trade finance structures.
- Provide guidance on the definition of intercompany credit support and ensure its correct implementation across the Group.
- Manage internal and external processes for granting credit support across geographies, including PCGs (parent company guarantees), import LCs, standby letters of credit, surety bonds and other instruments, maintaining physical and digital records of relevant documentation.
- Support preparation of periodically produced materials such as budgets, financial statements, management presentations or financing memos, as required.
- Monitor and report the credit support received from third parties (credit in).
- Report monthly movements related to credit support provided by the Group, ensuring proper booking (credit out).
- Act as the main point of contact to assist departments such as Legal, M&A and Procurement to secure alignment with Group Financial Policies regarding credit support in contracts.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance.
- MBA, Master’s in Management or advanced degree in Finance is a plus.
- 5–8 years of experience in corporate or trade finance or a similar role.
- Experience supervising teams and demonstrated leadership skills.
- Knowledge of trade finance instruments and market standards.
- Experience with accounting and financial systems (SAP, TMS platforms, Bloomberg).
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel, Word, Power BI and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Fluency in English and Portuguese (mandatory).
- Additional languages such as Spanish or French are a plus.
- Analytical and detail-oriented.
- Problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Leadership and people-management skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills, particularly for managing supporting documents, filing and handling multiple open tasks/projects simultaneously.
- Team spirit and ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams (Legal, Development, M&A, Accounting, etc.) across different geographies.
