About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of commercial, industrial and utility-scale renewable energy opportunities
  • Generate new business through proactive prospecting, networking, referrals, events and market engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, consultants and key industry stakeholders
  • Qualify prospects and convert opportunities into secured project orders
  • Own the sales process from lead generation through contract negotiation and project award
  • Lead tender preparation, submission and bid strategy activities
  • Coordinate internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality, compliant and commercially competitive proposals
  • Review and challenge technical and commercial assumptions to optimise customer solutions and improve win rates
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and support contract execution
  • Maintain accurate records in Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Represent Greenvolt Next UK at customer meetings, industry conferences and renewable energy events
  • Travel to customer sites and project locations as required

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • A technical, engineering or related degree is beneficial but not essential
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, account management or commercial leadership roles
  • Strong lead generation, pipeline management and opportunity conversion skills
  • Experience leading complex commercial proposals or tender submissions
  • Proficient in CRM systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience in Solar PV, wind energy, battery storage or other renewable energy
  • Experience in electrical contracting, energy services, facilities management
  • Experience in engineering services, building technologies, infrastructure, construction
  • Experience in other technical B2B sales environments
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building abilities
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to coordinate cross-functional teams
  • Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills
  • Strong IT literacy and confidence using modern digital and AI-enabled tools
  • Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to commute to the Warrington office, with approximately three office days per week when not travelling for business
  • Must be based in Ireland to complete the tasks of this role
