Junior Business Development Manager, Sales

About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- You will work directly with the CEO on GreenPocket's strategic direction.
- With your wide-ranging interests, you will identify, over several months, market-relevant key elements for acquiring new direct customers from a specific segment (e.g., retail, municipalities, and the housing sector).
- You will derive concrete action items from your findings and proactively initiate first contacts with potential customers.
- You welcome the challenge of regularly dealing with new or amended legal requirements (e.g., the Energy Efficiency Ordinance) and assessing their impact on the company.
- Additionally, you are enthusiastic about entrepreneurship and interested in exploring growth potential in new markets.
- Market and competitive analyses are right up your alley.
- You enjoy working on market entry concepts, business models for enterprise customers, and innovations; you create Ideal Customer Profiles and occasionally take creative approaches.
- You independently carry out market-relevant strategic projects but know exactly when to involve internal stakeholders such as Sales, Product Management, Development, and Controlling, and you also liaise with external service providers.
- You will convince us of your creative skills in developing marketing campaigns and customer acquisition strategies.
- You discuss all your results directly with the CEO.
Requirements
What you’ll need- You have successfully completed a degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a management-focused program, or have an equivalent qualification that convinces us.
- You are a smart thinker, can grasp complex relationships, and analyze them quickly.
- Ideally, you have gained initial experience in Business Development at a software company, preferably in a startup or consulting environment.
- It is desirable that you are interested in energy efficiency and AI topics or already have experience in these areas.
- With your excellent PowerPoint skills, you captivate others with your presentations, and you are also very confident using Excel.
- With your excellent German and English skills, you will not shy away from any conversation with potential customers.
