About the role

  • Knowledge management and data processing: You will support the further development of an AI-supported knowledge management system by expanding and maintaining a data pipeline
  • Evaluation: By building and expanding an automated evaluation framework and selecting appropriate metrics, you ensure the performance and reliability of our AI solutions
  • Research and development: You investigate new approaches in AI engineering and assess their applicability for GreenPocket
  • Collaboration: Together with our cross-functional teams you help integrate AI solutions into our products and processes
  • Continuous learning: Develop your professional profile by gaining knowledge and experience in software development, data science and AI engineering

Requirements

  • You must complete a 6-month mandatory internship as part of your studies in engineering, computer science or a comparable subject
  • You have solid Python skills and experience in NLP, both with traditional methods as well as with LLMs and (dense) embeddings
  • You have initial experience in AI engineering, e.g. Context Engineering, RAG (vector- or KG-based), Agentic AI and AI evaluation methods
  • You are eager to learn from our AI expert and to actively support them in developing our AI chatbots
  • Ideally you are familiar with relational, vector or graph databases and have first experience in post-training (e.g. fine-tuning) of transformer-based models
  • With your analytical and structured working style you break down complex problems and find appropriate solutions, which you document clearly and illustratively
  • You have very good German and English skills
